Bill Maher does not agree with the younger generation criticizing old movies and shows. He said: ?Stop being surprised every time you watch an old movie or TV show and find some of the ideas in it are ? old? Maher specifically talked about the controversy over the character Apu on ?The Simpsons.? Not only did the defend the stereotype but is happy with how show addressed the controversy. Yet many say Apu?s critics are not condemning older works but want to avoid them in the future.
