According to Barry Sonnenfeld, the show's showrunner, states that he hid 15 different Easter eggs from the series in a single shot. According to Business Insider, "It's in the first episode, in the classroom of math teacher Mrs. Bass... on the blackboard behind her in her classroom are numerous references to the Baudelaire orphans' lives."
