The screenwriter for Rogue One is working on a 'The Last Starfighter' project.
Gary Whitta has been trying to reboot 1984?s The Last Starfighter for a while.
The rights-holder Jonathan R. Betuel was dead set against a remake.
He wouldn?t sell the rights to Seth Rogen.
He wouldn't even sell the rights to Steven Spielberg.
However, Betuel seems to have since changed his mind.
