André the Giant played Fezzik in the cult classic "The Princess Bride." Casting director Jane Jenkins looked at a lot of tall men for the part. But in her mind, André the Giant was the only one who could plausibly haul three people up the Cliffs of Insanity. Jenkins recently explained how André Roussimoff landed the role. The book's author, William Goldman, actually said he wanted "a giant like André the Giant" to play Fezzik. So, Jenkins thought why not cast André himself.
