In a new interview with Fandango, actor Joaquin Phoenix says that playing legendary Batman villain the Joker in Warner Bros.? upcoming origin movie on the character - would be just like any other role. Phoenix, who has long been rumored for the part, explained, "I don?t really care about the genre, I care about the character and the filmmaker. If you have the ability to transcend the genre, then that?s what you want to do." The movie, which will be helmed by 'The Hangover's' Todd Phillips, is expected to begin production sometime this summer.
