Since its release, ?Black Panther? did a bunch of heavy lifting at the box office. Its 631 million dollar domestic revenue is the best of any superhero movie. It is accounting for roughly a quarter of the 2.53 billion dollars grossed so far in 2018. Independent trackers believe "Ready Player One" might be able to pick up some of the Marvel movie's slack. Some think the Spielberg movie could jump to a 40 million dollars start. Others seem more optimistic with a 55 million dollar projection.
