Steven Spielberg has denied that burger chain Carl's Jr. use his name for its new charbroiled sliders which it planned to call "Spielburgers," in honor of the director's new film,"Ready Player One." In a video posted to the Twitter account for his production company, Amblin Entertainment, Spielberg said of the burgers, "They're pretty good but I'm passing. Cease and desist. Can't do it. Sorry, guys." A representative for Carl's Jr's has since clarified that "SpielBurgers" are not a menu item, saying it was an attempt to "get the attention of Spielberg and his team to celebrate the launch of Ready Player One."
