The project is from 'Nightcrawler's writer-director Dan Gilroy.
The as-yet-untitled film for Netflix about the world of big-money art collectors.
In the film, Gyllenhaal plays an art critic.
The project started shooting in Los Angeles earlier this month.
The film will also star John Malkovich and Toni Collette.
