Action superstar Vin Diesel will star in the film adaptation of Valiant Comics' "Bloodshot"
The film will be the first big-budget feature to be based on a Valiant character.
Diesel will play Ray Garrison, a super-soldier created by the government, who defies his programming to learn of his past life.
Like Wolverine, the secret governmental experiment also gave Bloodshot a healing factor.
The comic was created in 1992 by Kevin VanHook, Don Perlin, and Bob Layton.
The film will reportedly begin production in the summer.
