BBC Studios is developing a six-episode TV series inspired by Terry Pratchett?s Discworld books. In 1983, the late Terry Pratchett launched what would become one of the most popular British fantasy series of all time. He introduced readers to the Discworld, a flat world carried on the back of four elephants, each of whom stand on the shell of the Great Turtle A?Tuin. The franchise continued until 2015, when Pratchett sadly passed away; his daughter has brought an end to the Discworld saga, much to the heartbreak of fans. The BBC is working on a six-episode series with a working title of The Watch. Simon Allen has signed up to write the series, which is intended to be a major international co-production.
