Netflix hopes that anime will soon become an even bigger genre than it already is worldwide.
The streaming giant's director of anime, Taito Okiura is overseeing a surge in anime acquisition and production.
As a producer, Okiura is best-known for his work on "Afro Samurai," and for founding David Production.
Before Fuji TV bought it, the company oversaw titles such as "JoJo?s Bizarre Adventure," "Tiger & Bunny," and dozens more.
