Frances McDormand plays Mildred in "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri." She says the inspiration for her character came from John Wayne. In the film, Mildred has a definite cowboy attitude. Frances is nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for the role. She's already won a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, a Critics Choice Award and a SAG Award.
