VIDEO : David Duchovny Tells Fans To Just Enjoy The Season And Stop Focusing On Scully's Exit

Following reports that Gillian Anderson's departure will mark the end of the current run of episodes, David Duchovny has called on X-Files fans to stop focusing on Scully's exit and enjoy the rest of the season. The forty-nine year-old Anderson has played Agent Dana Scully since the show first began in 1993. While fans were surprised to hear the announcement that Anderson was finished with the role, the actress says she had always made it clear that this season would be her last. While speaking to PopCulture.com, Duchovny said, ?To me, it?s unfortunate that?s kind of like ?the headline? because, to me, the headline is: We just made 10 really kick-ass episodes of television, and please enjoy and don?t mourn the death of this show quite yet.?
