The Fifty Shades movie trilogy will probably pass the one billion dollar mark Friday, following a big opening day for Fifty Shades Freed Thursday in theaters overseas. The movie is based on author E.L. James? book trilogy, about the lurid romantic relationship between a literature student and a tormented billionaire businessman. Theseries phenomenon carried over to the big screen on Valentine?s Day weekend in 2015, when Fifty Shades of Grey logged more than 85 million dollars domestically.
