Co-writer and director J.J. Abrams is excited to show fans the finale of the Skywalker saga. During an interview Abrams said that ?he can?t wait? for fans to see ?Star Wars: Episode IX.? Originally director Colin Trevorrow was going to direct the finale?. But Lucasfilm fired him because of attitude and script issues. When Abrams was asked about Trevorrow, the director steered the conversation back to himself.
