There's a new rumor afloat that Lucasfilm has secretly hired women and people of color to write and direct future installments of the franchise. After it was announced that Game of Thrones? David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were hired to create new 'Star Wars' movies separate from the Skywalker saga Rian Johnson?s recently-announced trilogy, many people were upset that 'Star Wars' films have been written only by white people and only one woman. The Tracking Board recently reported a rumor that ?Lucasfilm has hired at least one woman and one person of color to write/develop films in the Star Wars universe. But they?re keeping it a secret, presumably because it?s unclear whether these projects will ultimately move forward."
