In response to a shocking New York Times piece that detailed a car crash during the filming of the Kill Bill movies that left Uma Thurman with permanent injuries to her knees and neck, director Quentin Tarantino has spoken out. Thurman has placed the blame on the producers of the film, as well as Harvey Weinstein, who she says covered up the accident, however it was Tarantino who convinced her to do the stunt. Tarantino says that he was greatly affected by the accident, as he knew that ?a trust was broken.? The filmmaker also claims that he was eager to help Thurman find footage of the accident, and added that finding the footage was his ?happiest day this year?.
