Rian Johnson found Poe Dameron's storyline the "trickiest" to write in 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi'.
Johnson admitted he had problems writing Oscar Isaac's on-screen alter ego.
The director had issues figuring out what Poe's story was going to be.
"Poe is a such a clear-cut, simple character in Episode VII because he's Oscar Isaac and he's the most charismatic man in the universe and he's just rad."
Johnson revealed that he wrote a draft of the film where Poe and Finn go on a mission together.
But, storywise, it didn't work.
Why?
"Those two get along so well and it'd be really boring."
