VIDEO : 'American Gods' Hires New Showrunner

Starz's **American Gods** has hired a new showrunner for season two.
Jesse Alexander, who's worked on **Hannibal** and **Star Trek: Discovery,** will take over showrunning duties alongside Neil Gaiman.
Gaiman said, "I'm thrilled that Jesse is showrunner. He loves and understands the book, he loves and understands the TV series."
The show's producers set a $9 million per-episode budget on season 2.
Due to the delay in finding a showrunner, season 2 may have fewer than 10 episodes.
