Cape Town ? Modern Family actress Julie Bowen has separated from her real estate investor husband of 13 years, Scott Phillips, TMZ reports. The couple wed in 2004 and share three sons: 10-year-old Oliver and 8-year-old twins John and Gustav. According to People magazine the couple?s relationship has been strained in recent months. In 2016, Julie explained why her hubby hadn?t joined her at the Emmys - which also happened to be the day of their 12 year anniversary ? saying: "He?s come every year, he?s been so supportive and this year he was playing in a tennis tournament and I wasn?t nominated as an individual so I said, ?What do you want to do on our anniversary??
