In December, Rose McGowan gave Meryl Streep heat for paritcipating the Gloden Globes "Time's Up" initiatives, alleging that Streep knew of Harvey Weinstein's behavior. But now McGowan is praising Streep for her response to the Weinstein allegations. In a now-deleted tweet, McGowan addressed Streep by saying, "YOUR SILENCE is THE problem. You'll accept a fake award breathlessly & affect no real change. I despise your hypocrisy." Streep responded to McGowan saying she had "nothing but empathy" for her. When McGowan heard this during a CNN interview she said, "Thank you, Meryl Streep, for that."
