Ridley Scott's career has spanned more than 40 years.
He has helmed 25 movies, including 'Alien', 'Gladiator', 'Thelma and Louise', and 'Blade Runner'.
Scott has been nominated for three Best Director Oscars.
In 1992 he won a BAFTA Special Award.
In 1995, BAFTA honored him with an Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award.
This year, Scott will be given the prestigious BAFTA Fellowship award.
The BAFTA awards will take place on February 18.
