Despite HBO?s President of Programming Casey Bloys being noncommittal whether eighth season would premiere in 2018 or 2019, Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, was also adamant in an interview that the final season would not air until 2019. Production started in October 2017, and according to Turner they have ?six or seven months left."
