Fans of mysterious sci-fi and horror have a lot to look forward to in 2018. The "Cloverfield" franchise is returning to theaters with not one but two films that will continue the found footage horror begun in 2008 by J. J. Abrams, Matt Reeves, Bryan Burk, and Drew Goddard. That film got a sequel of sorts in 2016, entitled "10 Cloverfield Lane." And now, according to SlashFilm, audiences can expect the third film to debut in April, followed by a fourth film, tentatively titled "Overlord," to release to theaters on October 26th, just in time for Halloween. Taking place on the eve of D-Day, the fourth film will tell of American paratroopers dropped behind enemy lines, who begin to realize there are supernatural goings-on in a Nazi-occupied village. Directed by Julius Avery and starring Jovan Adepo, Wyatt Russell, Jacob Anderson and Mathilde Ollivier, "Overlord" will follow the third film in the series, titled "God Particle," which was first rumored to hit theaters late last year, only to be pushed to April.
