This week NBC announced its first official casting for the as-of-yet untitled NBC pilot order of "Bad Boys," and it is none other than actor Ernie Hudson. Hudson - who is known to fans from roles in the original "Ghostbusters" as well as "The Crow" - has been busy of late, appearing on the TV reboot of "Lethal Weapon," as well as "Graves," "APB," "Modern Family," and CBS?s "Blue Bloods." He also currently co-stars on the hit Netflix comedy series "Grace & Frankie" as Lily Tomlin?s love interest. According to Deadline, Hudson has joined the project to play Joseph Burnett, father of Gabrielle Union?s Sydney ?Syd? Burnett. Although Hudson?s character will be a new one, fans of the film will remember Union?s character from "Bad Boys II," where she played an undercover DEA operative, who happened to be the sister of Marcus Burnett - played by Martin Lawrence - as well the romantic interest of Detective Mike Lowrey - played by Will Smith.
