Director David F. Sandberg has said the magic word. Production has begun on DC Films? Shazam.
Sandberg celebrated the start of production with a behind-the-scenes photo posted to Instagram. The photo show?s the a clapperboard with Shazam?s production codename ?Franklin.?
Sandberg wrote in the status, accompanied by a lightning bolt, ?Let?s go!"
Zachary Levi stars as Shazam in the film. The hero is the alter ego of young boy Billy Batson, played by Asher Angel. Billy summons Shazam forth by speaking the magic word and swapping places with him. Levi describes the film as Big meets Superman.
