VIDEO : Stevie Nicks Honors Tom Petty

At the MusicCares Person of the year event on Friday, Stevie Nicks gave an emotional speech about the late Tom Petty. She choked up as she recalled the singer/songwriter who died in October of 2017. She called him a great man, father, and friend. Petty passed one week after completing a 40th anniversary Heartbreakers tour. Although he was ill, he died from an overdose. During her speech, Nicks said: "He was one of my best friends. My heart will never get over this."
