VIDEO : 'The Shining' Sequel 'Doctor Sleep' Snags 'Oculus' Director

Stephen King?s sequel to The Shining, Doctor Sleep, will be adapted to a movie directed by Mike Flanagan. Flanagan is a rising talent in the horror genre. He has directed the cult-hit Oculus in 2014 and the prequel film Ouija: Origin of Evil in 2016. Doctor Sleep is a Warner Bros. film with a script by I Am Legend writer Akiva Goldsman. The Shining sequel will surely be scrutinized and compared to Stanley Kubrick?s 1980 adaptation. Flanagan will have the challenge of pleasing both King readers and Kubrick fans.
