Sally Hawkins revealed that Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers were her inspiration for her performance in 'The Shape of Water'. The 41-year-old actress confessed that she was "obsessed" with the dancing duo in her youth. In 'The Shape of Water' Hawkins plays Elisa, a cleaning lately at a U.S. government research facility. In many ways, the film is an homage to the silver screen and she told the Daily Mail, "As far back as I can remember, those same films were big in my life."
