VIDEO : Netflix Nabs 7 Oscar Nominations

On Monday, January 22, Netflix netted seven Oscar nominations. RBC analyst Mark Mahaney says the Oscar hauls will help Netflix, but "may not be critical" for its success moving forward. It is a sign though that the streaming service's film business has started to overcome what some critics have called an "anti-Netflix bias" in Hollywood. Netflix's critically acclaimed original drama "Mudbound" earned four nominations for the company. The nominations included nods for best supporting actress (Mary J. Blige) and best adapted screenplay (writer-director Dee Rees).
