Angela Kang is replacing Scott Gimple as the showrunner on The Walking Dead beginning with the show's ninth season, many fans are hopeful she can save Carl but the groundwork has already been laid- Gimple will carry out post-production for this remaining season and is calling the wound a "one-way ticket." Furthermore, the cast and crew of the show have already bid actor Chandler Riggs farewell. What does this all mean? The only way for Angela Kang to reinstate Riggs' character on the show is to literally undo a death and revive Carl Grimes. He has been marked for death and the bite has been revealed in Episode 8 after being bitten in episode 6.
