VIDEO : Rotten Tomatoes Mistakenly Implies Director's Passing

This week, due to some peculiar wording, movie and TV review website Rotten Tomatoes implied that director John Carpenter was no longer alive while sending him birthday wishes. The site's original tweet, which has been deleted, read, "John Carpenter would have been 70 years old today! We celebrate his birthday by looking back at his five favorite films." Carpenter himself soon responded saying, "To Rotten Tomatoes, despite how it appears, I'm actually not dead." The website has since apologized to Carpenter for its original error.
