Matt Damon is apologizing for comments he made about sexual assault and the #MeToo/Time's Up movement.
Damon wishes he had taken more time to listen before speaking out.
He told the Today Show "Boy, I really wish I?d listened a lot more before I weighed in on this."
Damon earned the ire of fans when he said there is "a spectrum of behavior" when it comes to sex assault.
Damon further angered fans when he said that men who don't rape women should be praised, even celebrated.
After the vicious backlash, Damon said "I should get in the backseat and close my mouth for a while.?
