VIDEO : EuropaCorp's French TV Division Purchased By Mediawan

French media conglomerate Mediawan has acquired the French TV division of EuropaCorp, the production company cofounded by "Fifth Element" and "Valerian" director Luc Besson. The investment firm has also entered into exclusive talks to purchase controlling stakes in two additional production companies - Makever and Mon Voisin Productions - making it France's largest producer of scripted entertainment. Since its launch, Mediawan has set out to build itself into the European leader in premium content.
