Some fans hated Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Kevin Smith is a huge fan of Star Wars.
He's plugged into the fan community.
During an episode of Fatman on Batman, he explained why he thinks fans hated 'The Last Jedi.'
Smith said ?Some people, it hit them the wrong way in a big way.
Smith said the hate stems from how Rian Johnson went against fans expectations of who Luke Skywalker is.
"I?ve seen, it?s not just people going like, ?Oh, I didn?t like it,? when they don?t like it. It?s vitriolic, as if somebody f*cked up their childhood.?
