Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle passed Justice League at the worldwide box office this weekend, thus making the film an even bigger financial success for Sony Pictures. Scott Rosenberg and LOST?s Jeff Pinkner. Starring Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Nick Jonas, Jumanji 2 opened one week after Rian Johnson?s Star Wars: Episode VIII ? The Last Jedi ? the biggest blockbuster event of the season ? and it managed not only to hold its own against the monster hit but also overtake the second chapter in Lucasfilm?s Star Wars sequel trilogy to gain the top spot at the domestic box office over New Year?s weekend.
