Chris Hemsworth says he and Taika Waititi want to work together again and they were recently throwing around ideas about a potential Thor 4. The third and seemingly final installment in Marvel Studios? solo Thor series, "Thor: Ragnarok," released in November 2017 to overwhelming critical and commercial success. In an interview with USA Today for his latest film, "12 Strong," Chris Hemsworth said he and Thor 3 director Taika Waititi were recently ?throwing ideas around? about Thor 4 on New Year?s Eve. ?We gave cheers to Thor 3. But it also was like what could we do with four? We could do this and this. We were throwing ideas around. But also, just to work together again. That was one of the most enjoyable creative partnerships I?ve ever had.? Waititi exclusively told Screen Rant around the time Thor 3 hit theaters that he wasn?t interested in making Thor 4 but rather "Thor: Ragnarok 2."
