A New York Times event featuring a Q&A with James and Dave Franco, which was set to take place Wednesday at the Kaufman Music Center in Manhattan was cancelled Tuesday, one day before its scheduled time. The New York Times the TimesTalks event, which was supposed to showcase the filmmaking brothers discussing their latest film, ?The Disaster Artist,? which won Ja Golden Globe for actor James Franco on Sunday, for his performance as ?The Room? director Tommy Wiseau. The cancellation comes two days after several women accused Franco of sexual misconduct on Twitter, during the awards ceremony. Actress Violet Paley tweeted the actor forced her to perform oral sex on him when she was 17, adding that Franco made phone calls several weeks ago to apologize for his behavior. After which, filmmaker Sarah Tither-Kaplan also accused Franco of misconduct, saying that the director had her do nude scenes in two of his films for $100 a day, claiming that he later explained to her that his actions weren't exploitative because she had signed a contract to do so.
