X-Men fans rejoice! According to Omega Underground, Fox has a date and a place booked for the production of the long-delayed and highly anticipated "Gambit" film! Cast and crew will be heading to New Orleans to begin filming the standalone fan-favorite mutant tale on March 19th of 2018. Starring Channing Tatum as the titular charismatic mutant, "Gambit" will also feature Lizzy Caplan and will be directed by Gore Verbinski, of "Pirates of the Caribbean" fame. With "Gambit," the studio has another potential mutant franchise to join their very successful "Deadpool" series. And Fox is clearly rolling the dice and powering up the cards for the telekinetic Ragin? Cajun, loading the film with a budget of $155 million. While there?s no current information on the film's plot, it is said to be a ?crime/heist? thriller, rumored to tease some major X-Universe connections.
