VIDEO : Jonathan Frakes Offers Quentin Tarantino Some Advice For His Star Trek Film

Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, tentatively attached to helm the next Star Trek movie for Paramount, received a key piece of advice from franchise veteran, Jonathan Frakes. Frakes, best remembered for his role as Star Trek: The Next Generation's Commander William T. Riker, said in an interview with Inverse, "Don't forget the heart. Before you eat it, don?t forget the heart!" Tarantino's in-the-works "wild" spin on the long-running franchise is a collaboration with director J.J. Abrams, who directed Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness. The Revenant's Mark L. Smith is set to write the script for the film which Tarantino has reportedly been "promised" will carry an R rating. Tarantino is expected to begin work on his Star Trek movie following his 2019 production centered around the Charles Manson murders in 1969 Hollywood.
