The next season of "American Horror Story" will be set in the future. Speaking to TV critics Friday night, creator Ryan Murphy said, ?It's set in the future but not the theme. The near-distant future. It's a projection story.? The most recent seventh season, "Cult," jumped to the recent past, following the aftermath of the 2016 presidential election. This will be the show's first journey into the future. The eighth season, expected to air fall of 2018, will star Sarah Paulson, but no other cast members have been confirmed.
