Tennis star Serena Williams won't be defending her Australian Open title after the American withdrew from the first grand slam of the 2018 season. Williams said she needs "more time" after giving birth last year. Over thew weekend the 23-time grand slam winner returned to the court at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi at the weekend. She came back less than four months after giving birth to her first child. Playing in Abu Dhabi has given the American pause for thought. Williams revealed she's not where she wants to be. Although she claims she is close to championship form, she is dropping out of the Australian open to get herself in better shape.
