director Ridley Scott is reportedly in talks to direct an adaptation of T.A. Barron's Merlin book series for Disney. While a deal hasn't been finalized, Sources say Merlin will be Scott's next movie. Scott Free, the director?s production company, is in negotiations to produce with Gil Netter. Scott also met with Disney to discuss their pending live-action Sword in the Stone re-imagining. Barron's Lost Years of Merlin series focuses on the wizard before his appearance in Arthurian legend as mentor to King Arthur.
