John Lithgow has joined the cast of Daddy's Home, appearing in its sequel, "Daddy's Home 2." Although he said he felt very welcomed by the cast, he also said it felt like he was "leaping aboard a speeding train." Lithgow explained that he and other newcomer to the film, Mel Gibson were just thrown into the movie as if they had worked in the last one with the rest of the cast. Of the film itself he said: "We had a wonderful script and we were encouraged to be creative and improvise when necessary." In the sequel Lithgow plays Brad Whittaker's father Don.
