Jodie Foster does not seem to be a fan of superhero films. She thinks these type of movies are actually doing long-term damage to the industry by "making bad content in order to appeal to the masses." Foster explained that films are important to her because they should help her "evolve as an individual." Yet, she said that superhero films are more about cranes and CGI and giving a show. In fact, Foster said superhero movies are "ruining the viewing habits of the American population and then ultimately the rest of the world."
