Apple has apologized for its practice of slowing down iPhones with older batteries. But the apology wasn't enough, though, for United States Sen. Marco Rubio. He blasted Apple's "arrogance" to his 3.38 million Twitter followers.
Rubio wrote on Twitter on Friday morning, "Problem isn?t just phone. It?s arrogance of Apple. Remotely control how phones work & admit only after getting caught. Rubio's tweet included a link to a Washington Post article on the scandal.
On Thursday afternoon, Apple issued a formal apology for the practice. Starting in January, the price of a replacement iPhone battery would be slashed from $79 to $29 for the next 12 months.
