He produced and helped develop 2017's Blade Runner: 2049.
Blade Runner: 2049 was directed by Dennis Villeneuve.
Scott liked the film and gave Villeneuve a free hand in crafting the movie.
The film was poised to be a hit, but ended up a box office flop.
Scott believes the film flopped at the box office because ?It?s slow. It?s slow. Long. Too long. I would have taken out half an hour.?
