Hugh Jackman has worked for seven and a half years to make a film about P.T. Barnum.
The movie is The Greatest Showman. It opened Christmas weekend, co-starring Zak Efron, Zendaya, and Michelle Williams.
The film cost $84 million to make.
It has dazzling stunts and visual effects and boasts a soundtrack by an Oscar winning composer.
Unfortunately, bad reviews and stiff competition sunk the film's chances at the box office.
The movie earned a 55% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
It earned $23 million, coming in forth at the box office.
