The classic arcade game pinball appears to be experiencing a resurgence in popularity. According to the International Flipper Pinball Association, this year there were nearly 4,500 pinball competitions and more than 55,000 players involved. This is up from 500 players in 50 competitions worldwide back in 2006. Zach Sharpe, the spokesman for the world's leading pinball manufacturer Stern Pinball, says, "The game is not going away.
