VIDEO : 'Die Hard' Plot Hole Cleared Up By Screenwriter

Christmas time is here, and fans of 'Die Hard' are excited because screenwriter Steven E. de Souza finally cleared up some of the films major plot holes. According to screenrant.com, the plot hole occurs in the "famous scene where heroic New York cop John McClane first encounters villain Hans Gruber." They hadn't met before, but in the film McClane almost immediately knew Gruber's evil intent. Fans always questioned just how McClane knew. Souza explained that originally in the script there was a subplot that Gruber and his gang were well-known for wearing a specific type of watch.
